Red Lentil Soup

1 onion

1 cup red lentils

Kombu the size of your palm or whole hand

3 carrots

1/2 bulb wild garlic

1 yellow zucchini

hand full green beans

2 hand full mustard greens

spices:  cummin, curry, tumeric, dried ginger

everything diced, and mustard greens finely chopped.

All cooked together with 1 L of water for 90mins-2 hours or until desired consistency.

How’s this for a quick recipe? Made it this morning, and ate it for lunch:

Brown Basmati rice with wild rice

ingredients:

3 and 1/2 cups of water
1/4 cup wild rice
1 1/2 cups brown Basmati rice, soaked over night

Cook time: 45 minutes, plus about 10 minutes sit time

Method:

Soak 1 1/2 cups of brown Basmati rice over night, or at least 4 hours

Wash rice well, and strain rice

Add 3 and 1/2 cups of water in a pot
Add strained rice, and about 1/4 cup of wild rice

Bring to a boil with lid on, then reduce heat to minimum. Place lid on tight and cook for 45 minutes. Do not touch the lid~ Turn the heat off after 45 mins, and let sit for at least 10 minutes.

Serve with anything you’d like.

I just had it for lunch today with sesame oil and tamari.
